Start with the photo you intend to submit, choose 50KB, and enter the form’s width and height if specified. For a 200 × 230-pixel requirement, use Fit to retain the whole photo with white padding, or Fill to crop the edges.
The KB limit measures file bytes. Pixel dimensions describe the image grid. Two photos with the same dimensions can have very different file sizes because fine details and noise take more data to encode.
A successful result fits 51,200 bytes, but the destination may have additional rules about background, composition, or decimal KB. Review the preview and the downloaded JPEG; this tool cannot certify a photo for a particular institution.

It means at or below your chosen limit. A 46KB result meets a 50KB target. We use 1KB = 1,024 bytes and show the actual output bytes.
No. Your image is decoded and compressed in your browser. The image-processing code does not upload files, and this version has no analytics or advertising scripts.
Yes, when you enter a width or height. With just one dimension, the other follows the original aspect ratio. With both, choose Fit for white padding or Fill for a centered crop. Leave both blank to allow automatic resizing.
JPEG gives this first version a predictable way to adjust file size across browsers. PNG and WebP inputs are accepted, but transparency is flattened onto white and animation is not preserved.
You will see an error instead of an oversized download. Increase the KB limit, choose smaller dimensions, or clear both dimension fields to allow automatic resizing.
