FROM TOO LARGE TO JUST RIGHT

Three steps. One less thing to worry about.

01

Pick your image

A photo, a scan, or an everyday upload. Start with a JPG, PNG, or WebP.

02

Set your limit

Choose your target KB and, if needed, the exact dimensions your form asks for.

03

Download a better fit

Preview your result. Get a JPEG checked against your size and dimension limits.

Our privacy approach

Make the most of 20KB

20KB is 20,480 bytes here. This is a tight budget for a photograph: crop unneeded surroundings before importing and choose only the dimensions your destination requires. Inspect fine text and facial details in the downloaded image.

When a tiny file needs fewer pixels

If you leave dimensions blank, the tool can reduce resolution to reach the limit. If a form requires exact dimensions, enter them first. A detailed image may not fit 20KB at those dimensions; you will get an explanation instead of an oversized download.

Check the destination’s rules

Some portals define KB as 1,000 bytes instead of 1,024. For a strict 20,000-byte limit, set a custom target of 19.53KB. This is a general image tool, not an official passport or signature validator.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

The little details,
explained.

Less guesswork, from the first click
to the final download.

Does “exact” mean exactly 50KB?

It means at or below your chosen limit. A 46KB result meets a 50KB target. We use 1KB = 1,024 bytes and show the actual output bytes.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Your image is decoded and compressed in your browser. The image-processing code does not upload files, and this version has no analytics or advertising scripts.

Will my image keep its dimensions?

Yes, when you enter a width or height. With just one dimension, the other follows the original aspect ratio. With both, choose Fit for white padding or Fill for a centered crop. Leave both blank to allow automatic resizing.

Why is the output always JPEG?

JPEG gives this first version a predictable way to adjust file size across browsers. PNG and WebP inputs are accepted, but transparency is flattened onto white and animation is not preserved.

What if my image cannot meet the limit?

You will see an error instead of an oversized download. Increase the KB limit, choose smaller dimensions, or clear both dimension fields to allow automatic resizing.
